Already use Cabify in CDMX or GDL? You can call it at TIJ too.

Cabify operates at General Abelardo L. Rodriguez International Airport (TIJ), but it doesn’t show up in traveler chatter the way Uber or regular sitio taxis do. If you already have the app from Mexico City, Guadalajara, or Monterrey, your existing Cabify account and saved cards work the same way when you land in Tijuana.

TIJ has one Main Terminal plus the CBX terminal on the US side, and you request Cabify from either, just like any other Mexican airport city. The Main Terminal sits off Carretera Aeropuerto S/N, and rides into central Tijuana (Zona Rio / downtown) typically run about 15–25 minutes depending on traffic on Vía Rápida.

Cabify is app-only, so you book using your phone number and email already registered in Mexico, then pick the service tier and see the peso fare estimate before you confirm. Pricing fluctuates with demand, but expect something in the MX$200–MX$350 range to Zona Centro, similar to other app-based rides for that 8–12 km stretch.

Pickups at the Main Terminal usually work best from the departures level curb, just outside the airline counters for Volaris and Aeromexico, instead of the tight arrivals loop by baggage claim belts 1–6. Message your driver in the app in Spanish or simple English and with a car color and license plate; it saves a few minutes in the crowd of white airport taxis.

From CBX, you exit Mexican immigration, walk the 120-meter bridge, then clear US CBP before reaching the CBX arrivals hall; request Cabify only after you’re landside on the US side, since crossing that bridge can easily eat 20–30 minutes if queues stack up. Use the street address printed on your CBX boarding pass or the GPS pin for “CBX Cross Border Xpress” in the app so the driver doesn’t end up at the cargo entrance off Siempre Viva Road.

Cabify markets more business-style rides in Mexico, often with newer sedans and in-car receipts emailed automatically within a few minutes, which helps for expense reports with per-trip amounts in MXN and timestamps down to the minute. You can also add a corporate account or payment method under “Perfil empresa” in the app if your employer uses that setup.

One tip: buy a local eSIM or confirm your roaming before landing so the app can verify SMS codes; without mobile data at TIJ or CBX, the Cabify request screen may stall right when you need a pickup.
