Five-minute walk from T1, P2 is TIA’s long-stay lot
P2 Parking sits a short walk from Tirana International Airport Mother Teresa’s T1 terminal, set up as the long-stay option when you’re leaving the car for several days or more. It’s an open-air surface lot, so you park your own car, keep your keys, and walk straight toward the terminal entrance in about five minutes if you’re moving at a normal pace.
This is the airport’s dedicated long-stay zone, separate from the closer short-term parking near T1, and pricing is structured by full days instead of hours. If your trip runs to three, five, or ten days, P2 usually works out cheaper than paying the short-stay daily cap at P1. You pay on exit at the machines or staffed booth, so budget a couple of extra minutes before driving off.
P2 is outside security, on the landside access road that feeds directly to T1, so you’ll pass the parking barriers before hitting the terminal drop-off area. There’s basic lighting at night and marked lanes, but no covered bays or premium zones. If you prefer to avoid hauling bags across the full lot, aim for a space on the terminal-facing side and keep your walking route lined up with the main entrance doors of Mother Teresa Airport.
There’s no official reservation system published for P2 Parking at TIA, so you drive up, take a ticket at the barrier, and pick any open space. Weekday mornings before 09:00 can run busier with business trips, but even then you usually find a slot if you’re not arriving last-minute. If your flight leaves in peak bank times, add 10 extra minutes for parking, ticket payment, and the walk into T1.
Tip: Take a quick photo of your row marker and the P2 entry ticket before you head to T1; it saves hunting for your car and speeds up payment on your return.
