Tenerife Duty Free

T1

Right after security in T1, Tenerife Duty Free stretches along the main walk

This is the big walk-through shop in T1, immediately after security, before you split toward the gates. It carries the usual duty‑free mix: spirits, wine, perfume, cosmetics, tobacco, snacks and some Canary Islands souvenirs. You pass through it on the way to most boarding areas, so you don’t need extra detours from your gate.

Pricing on alcohol and perfume generally undercuts downtown Tenerife by a few euros per bottle, especially on 1L spirits. Tobacco is in the standard EU duty‑free bands, so bring your allowance numbers in mind before loading up cartons. Local rums and mojo sauces sit near the front, often with multi‑buy deals clearly tagged in euros.

Food-wise, expect branded chocolates, travel-sized sweets and potato chips, plus some local treats like turrón and gofio products in the same T1 space. Pre-packaged jamón and cheese boxes are there, but they run pricier than supermarket equivalents on the island. Drinks are all bottled; this isn’t a sit-down spot, just grab-and-go between security and your gate.

Most flights at TFS start boarding around 30–40 minutes before departure, and queues at nearby gates in T1 can grow fast. Plan your duty‑free stop before heading to the far gates so you’re not juggling bottles in a crowded boarding line. Tip: keep liquids in the sealed store bag with the receipt handy; some EU connections still check the tamper‑evident seal at security re-screening.
