Relay

By gate T departures, Relay covers last-minute basics fast

Relay in Terminal T sits airside in the departures area, so you hit it after security, not before. It’s the main news-and-convenience spot near the boarding gates, useful if you’ve skipped the shops landside. Signage in the T departures corridor points to it clearly, so you won’t wander around guessing.

This is standard Relay stock: Spanish and international magazines, paperbacks, kids’ activity books, and crossword puzzle pads. You’ll also see stationery, pens, USB cables, and basic tech accessories on the central racks. Prices run higher than downtown Santa Cruz kiosks, but in line with typical airport markups in Spain.

Fridges along one wall hold bottled water, soft drinks, and juices, usually in the €2–€4 range. Shelves carry packaged snacks like chips, nuts, and chocolate bars, plus some grab-and-go sweets you can throw in a backpack in under a minute. If your airline doesn’t include food on shorter inter-island hops, this is a simple backup plan.

Hours generally match the first and last departures of the day, opening around early-morning waves and closing after the final evening flights out of TFN. If you have a 06:30 departure, expect lights on and staff ready by the time you clear security.

Tip: buy water and snacks here in Terminal T before you head to the gate area seating, so you’re not stuck with just vending machines if your flight out of Tenerife Norte runs late.
