Newsagent

Beside the main departures seating, this is TAB’s basic shop.

Newsagent sits airside in the small departures area at A.N.R. Robinson International Airport, a short walk from the central gate cluster. It’s the catch-all stop for last‑minute magazines, snacks, and small travel items before boarding your Caribbean or domestic Trinidad flight. Stock is compact, but it beats going back landside to hunt for anything you forgot.

You’ll find newspapers, a few regional magazines, simple toys, and standard snacks priced in Trinidad and Tobago dollars, generally higher than in-town supermarkets but normal for a small island airport. Expect bottled drinks, chips, chocolate bars, and a limited fridge of cold beverages. If you need something specific or niche, buy it in Scarborough first; this shop focuses on basics that turn quickly.

Hours usually track flight schedules, opening ahead of the first departures and closing after the last evening services, but on light-traffic days it may close once the final outbound flight boards. If you have an early morning LIAT or Caribbean Airlines departure, don’t assume a long browsing window; shop on arrival at the terminal, not at last call. Stock levels dip between busy banked departures, so mid-day can feel a bit picked over.

One practical tip: grab water and reading material here before you line up at the single main gate area, since coming back out through the small waiting zone can be awkward once boarding starts.
