Free public car park right outside A.N.R. Robinson (TAB)

The Public car park at A.N.R. Robinson International Airport (TAB) sits directly in front of the terminal, so you walk a few dozen meters from your car to the check-in area. It is a basic surface lot, no barrier arms, tickets, or pay machines because parking is free.

Parking is currently free all day, with no posted daily or hourly rate and no pay-on-exit system. That makes it useful for drop-offs, pick-ups, and short trips on Caribbean Airlines and other regional flights using TAB.

This is an uncovered outdoor lot, so every space is open to Tobago sun and rain, and there is no multi-storey structure or shaded section. If you are leaving the car for several hours, plan for a hot cabin and use a sunshade or leave windows cracked a few millimetres if local conditions feel safe.

The car park is shared by passengers, airport staff, and people meeting flights, so it can feel busy around peak departure times, usually in the morning and late afternoon bank of flights. At quieter times of day, you can usually find a spot within a minute or two of entering the lot.

There are no assigned long-stay, premium, or disabled-only zones formally marked, just painted spaces on tarmac, so anyone needing extra time should try to grab a space close to the main terminal doors. There is also no dedicated security kiosk or barrier, only routine airport police presence in the broader curbside area.

Plan to arrive at least 20–30 minutes earlier than you normally would, so you have time to circle once or twice if the free lot fills up around a bank of flights.
