Power at every seat and two paid showers are the real draw

Princess Sky Lounge sits airside near gates 1–2 at SXM and runs daily from 06:30 to 19:00. You get a mezzanine level that looks down over the terminal, decent Wi‑Fi, and far more outlets than the main seating areas outside. Think functional rest stop before a flight, not a big hot buffet or open bar setup.

Access works via Priority Pass or paid entry, with walk‑in pricing reported around $60–65 per adult and kids 16 and under around $45. Officially, day passes are listed as $60 per adult and $45 per child under 5, so check what rate they’re quoting at the desk. Regulars almost always swipe a lounge membership or eligible credit card instead of paying cash at the door.

The food station stays on the “small deli” side: think finger sandwiches, soup, salad and a few desserts rather than hot mains. One Facebook report called it “quiet and chill” with that exact setup and felt the spread didn’t fully match the $65 entry. If you want a real meal, many people eat in the terminal and use the lounge mostly for drinks, Wi‑Fi and seating.

On drinks, entry typically comes with one alcoholic coupon from a limited list; soft drinks, coffee and water are then self‑serve and free. Extra alcohol is charged per pour, which catches out anyone assuming unlimited spirits are included in the day pass. If you’re planning a long sit with multiple beers or glasses of wine, run the math before you pay at the desk.

The lounge is split across two levels, with a mezzanine that gives slightly better views and, in practice, a better shot at a seat during busy periods. FlyerTalk users call out crowding when the Air France and KLM bank hits SXM, and note that staff still accepted Priority Pass even when seats were scarce. If you see those flights on the board in the next 2–3 hours, expect more noise and fewer open chairs.

Two shower suites sit near the restrooms and cost about $15 per use, paid at reception. Mark Around The World notes they book up fast in the late afternoon Europe/North America wave, so people who really want a rinse head straight to the desk to get on the list before sitting down. With only two rooms, show up late and you may get “no slots left” for your time window.

Less obvious extras: there’s a small nursery, a conference room rentable by the hour, and a luggage holding area inside the lounge. Business travelers who know about the meeting room often pre‑book it so they’re not taking calls in the main seating, and parents like having a contained space to reset a toddler before a long flight. Bags in the holding area make it easier to grab food in the terminal without dragging everything.

Stays are capped at around three hours, according to multiple reports, and staff do watch the time. Plan to arrive roughly 2–2.5 hours before departure, use your drink coupon, maybe book a shower, then head to the gate by the 45‑minute mark.
