P5 Car Hire Return at Strasbourg Airport is the dedicated drop-off area for rental cars, about a 3-minute walk from the terminal doors. It’s signposted separately from P1–P4, and the access road clearly labels it as “rental car return,” not standard airport parking.

The airport lists P5 as a specific-use car park tied to car-rental operations, with pricing shown in /15-minute slices up to 12 hours, then a 12–24 hour band. That pricing structure and the layout both point to short, controlled use, not multi-day stays with a private vehicle.

This zone is effectively managed by the hire companies rather than the general parking system, and comparison sites like Parkos do not show P5 as a bookable public option. If you try to treat it like long-stay, you’re relying on an operational area that isn’t set up for unattended private cars.

Regular renters follow the separate rental-return route directly into P5, hand over keys, then walk the 3 minutes back along the signposted path to the terminal. They do not circle back to leave their own car there; they book one of the main car parks instead, because P5 is intended for quick turnover.

Use P5 Car Hire Return only if you are dropping off a rental; for your own car, plan ahead and reserve a space in P1–P4, then follow the main parking signage instead of the rental-return arrows.
