Post-security Bar 1 is your main T-terminal drink stop
Gate-side at Terminal T in Argyle International, Bar 1 sits in the main departures area after security, so you can keep an eye on boarding while you eat or drink. It’s a simple walk-up bar with counter seating and a few small tables, usually drawing passengers from multiple SVD departures in the afternoon bank.
Hours vary a bit with the flight schedule, but Bar 1 generally opens before the first international departures from SVD in the morning and stays open until the last evening flights start boarding. If you have an early LIAT or Caribbean Airlines departure, expect it to be one of the only options open in Terminal T.
The menu leans on straightforward bar food and local drinks, with typical airport pricing: expect beers to run in the US$4–6 range and mixed drinks to land higher, closer to US$7–10 depending on the pour. Food options skew to quick bites that can come out in under 15–20 minutes, useful if your boarding pass shows a tight turnaround at SVD.
Bar 1 pours local Caribbean lagers alongside standard international brands, and spirits often include regional rums by the shot or in simple cocktails. If you care more about speed than variety, stick to a bottled beer or a basic rum-and-Coke; made-to-order cocktails can slow down when two or three flights at adjacent gates board at once.
Service pacing tracks with the departure banks out of Terminal T at Argyle: when two widebodies are on the screens, seats fill and the bar can get backed up for 10–15 minutes. Build in that extra time if you want food from Bar 1 instead of grabbing a drink only.
Tip: Order and pay in US dollars or Eastern Caribbean dollars, and have small bills ready; that speeds things up at the counter and gets you back to your gate in time for boarding at SVD.
