Private-charter only: Bohlke International Aviation isn’t a Main terminal lounge
Bohlke International Aviation at Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) operates as an FBO on the airfield, handling private and charter flights rather than scheduled airlines from the Main terminal. If your ticket shows American, Delta, Spirit, or another commercial carrier, you use the regular terminal and never pass through this building.
The Bohlke facility sits on the general aviation side of STX, separate from the single Main passenger terminal and its check-in counters. Access runs through charter operators and private flight arrangements, not Priority Pass, Amex, airline status, or day passes you can buy at the door.
Inside, the FBO lounge focuses on typical general-aviation basics: seating, climate control, and a quiet room for crews and charter passengers moving through STX’s relatively light traffic pattern. You’re not getting a big buffet line like a 5,000-square-foot hub lounge at MIA or ATL, but you do get a controlled, small-footprint space that supports quick turnarounds for aircraft on tight schedules.
Bohlke International Aviation syncs its staffing to actual charter movements, so operating hours track the arrival and departure times of specific aircraft rather than the first and last Main terminal flights listed on the STX departures board. That means you can’t rely on it for a 10:30 p.m. American Airlines departure if you’re holding a regular economy ticket, even if you see lights on across the ramp.
Food and drink at this kind of FBO typically run to basic snacks and soft drinks tied to the charter contract, not a posted menu with set prices like the single café in the Main terminal at STX. If catering is part of your flight package, it’s arranged ahead of time through Bohlke or your operator, not ordered á la carte after you show up at the desk.
If your group is considering a private flight using STX, talk to the charter broker or to Bohlke directly before travel to confirm lounge access details, ground transportation timing, and any catering you want waiting when your aircraft blocks in on the St. Croix ramp.
