JD Sports

Fashion

Opposite the main duty free area, JD Sports fills the gap if you forgot trainers or gym gear at Stansted. This is the standard UK high-street JD: football shirts, branded athleisure, and stacks of caps and sliders. You’ll see the usual Nike, adidas, Puma and New Balance logos everywhere, plus club kits that match current Premier League seasons.

Opening hours broadly track Stansted’s early departures, with shutters usually up before 05:00 and open through the evening wave of Ryanair flights. Everything is post‑security in the main departures hall, so you don’t need to factor in extra walking to another pier. Expect high-street pricing rather than “airport premium”: t‑shirts often around £20–£30, hoodies in the £40–£60 range, and trainers pushing £60–£120 depending on brand.

Stock leans hard into travel-friendly pieces: joggers for a 4‑hour Ryanair stint, lightweight hoodies that beat a thin aircraft blanket, and cross‑body bags that still fit under-seat rules. Football shirts from current seasons sit on the central rails, with some discounted older seasons on side walls when space allows. Kids’ sizes are on the smaller racks at the back, so you might need an extra two minutes to dig.

Tip: if you’re tight on time, head straight for the footwear wall along one side and the central shirt rail, pay contactless at the front tills, and you’re back at your gate in under 10 minutes if you’re already in the main departures area.
