Overflow Lots

Remote

$14 Overflow Lots kick in when SRQ fills up

When the main long-term and shade lots hit capacity during holidays or high-season weekends, SRQ opens the remote Overflow Lots about 0.5 miles from the terminal. These lots are airport-operated, not off-brand, and carry the same posted daily rate of $14.00, so you don’t get a surprise surcharge for showing up on a busy day.

The Overflow Lots sit roughly half a mile from the MAIN terminal doors, so plan on using the airport’s shuttle system when they’re active. Signage at the regular long-term entrances directs you toward the overflow entrance; if you’re landing at peak times (think February and March), build in at least an extra 20–30 minutes in case you’re diverted out here.

Rates match other on-airport remote options at $14.00 per day, which usually undercuts off-site private lots by a few dollars once you add their taxes and fees. Because this is a pressure-release lot, you don’t bank on it being open; it’s mainly a safety net when the standard long-term and shade lots posted on flysrq.com show “Full” or “Near Capacity.”

The lots serve all gates in MAIN and Concourse A, since everything at SRQ feeds through the same central security checkpoint. When the Overflow Lots are running, shuttles run between the remote area and the terminal loop; ask the driver which stop you’ll return to so you’re not guessing with bags in 90°F heat.

Tip: On peak days, check SRQ’s parking status online before you leave, and if long-term is already tight, drive straight toward the signed Overflow Lot entrance instead of circling the closer garages.
