Parking P2

Long stay

One-minute walk from Terminal 2, on-airport and long-stay

Parking P2 sits on the Terminal 2 side of Sofia Airport, about a 1 minute walk from the departures hall doors, so you park and walk straight to T2 with no shuttle. It’s the on-airport long-stay choice that locals use for quick trips when they don’t want to deal with off-site lots or transfers.

This is an official airport car park serving T2, marked as long-stay, and priced in line with what FlyerTalk users call “not insanely expensive” for an EU capital. You pay at airport rates, but you’re trading slightly higher cost for a very short walk and direct access to the newer terminal building.

The whole airport zone around T1 and T2 runs under heavy security presence 24/7, which TripAdvisor locals say makes all official car parks, including P2, “secure enough” compared with many other European capitals. You get on-airport patrols and cameras instead of a remote lot with a single night guard on duty.

P2 mainly suits trips of several days or more from T2, when you want your own car waiting on return at Sofia Airport. For 1–2 day hops, Sofia regulars on Facebook and TripAdvisor often recommend a taxi or ride-hail instead, then saving P2 for times when dragging luggage onto public transport from the city isn’t worth the hassle.

There’s no shuttle bus or transfer from P2, because you’re effectively in the T2 forecourt area, roughly a 1 minute walk from the terminal entrance. One practical tip: snap a photo of your row and any nearby T2 door number before you head in, so finding your car after a late-night arrival at Sofia is painless.
