Presto

Presto shows up on airport lists, but not on SMR maps

Some databases flag a Presto at Simón Bolívar International Airport (SMR), yet recent Google Maps views of T1 and terminal shop boards show no clear sign of it. The chain definitely operates in other Colombian airports, so this may be a legacy listing, a closed outlet, or a small counter that never made it into online photos. Treat “Presto – SMR” as unconfirmed rather than guaranteed.

Simón Bolívar International runs on a single terminal, T1, with all departures funneled through one compact hall. Current store boards and official SMR maps in T1 list a few snack spots and sit-down options, but none carry the Presto name or logo. If an outlet exists, it would likely sit airside near the domestic gates, sharing space with the other quick-service counters.

Most Colombian airport Prestos price burgers in the COP 18,000–28,000 range, with combo meals around COP 25,000–32,000 as of 2024. If SMR ever had a Presto, expect similar pricing and a menu centered on burgers, fries, and soft drinks rather than full plates or alcohol. Figure on 10–15 minutes from ordering to walking away with a tray during normal traffic, based on timing at their branches in other cities.

Because there are no recent photos or reviews tied to “Presto Aeropuerto Simón Bolívar” on Google, Yelp, Reddit, or FlyerTalk, you should build a backup plan. In T1, you can still grab packaged snacks and drinks in the small tiendas near the main departure lounge, and there are basic coffee options both landside and airside. SMR’s compact layout means you can walk the full airside concourse in around 5–7 minutes to scout what is actually open.

Practical tip: after security in T1, check the food counters near your gate; if you do not see a clear Presto sign within a 5-minute walk, assume it is not operating and buy from another spot before you sit down to wait for boarding.
