Near gates B1–B19, this is SMF’s art stop
The Gallery at SMF sits in Terminal B, airside, along the concourse serving gates B1–B19. It runs 24/7 (listed hours are 12AM–12AM daily), so it’s one of the few places you can browse at 3 a.m. or after a midnight arrival. It leans more toward art and gifts than snacks, so think visual browsing, not grab-and-go food.
This is the spot for Sacramento-themed gifts and art pieces before a Southwest or Delta flight out of B. Expect framed prints, small sculptures, local-style souvenirs, and greeting cards rather than airport logo merchandise. Prices skew higher than Hudson down the hall; small items like cards and magnets stay in the under-$15 range, while framed works jump much higher, closer to gallery pricing.
Because it’s post-security in Terminal B, you need a same-day boarding pass to get here; there’s no landside entrance. If you’re connecting through SMF, you’ll stay within B to reach it, since A and B sit in different areas with separate security checkpoints. Figure 5–10 minutes’ walk from mid-concourse gates like B8–B10, slightly longer from the high teens.
Tip: use this as a time-killer if your flight shows a 30–45 minute delay on the board; do a full loop through The Gallery first, then grab coffee at one of the nearby cafes so you’re not carrying breakable pieces while juggling hot drinks.
