By Gate B, this is SMF’s basic tech lifeline

Tech on the Go sits airside in Terminal B, handy if you realize at 7 a.m. that your Lightning cable died overnight. It’s one of the few spots past security where you can grab last‑minute phone gear without hiking back toward the main shops.

Expect all the usual travel electronics: USB‑C and Lightning cables, generic phone chargers, wired and wireless earbuds, plus power banks strong enough to carry you through a transcon. Prices run higher than Target or Best Buy; a simple charging cable can hit $20–$30, so think emergency buy, not stock‑up run.

The store typically trades on convenience for Terminal B flyers on Southwest, JetBlue, and United, catching people just after TSA. You’ll also see basic accessories like universal plug adapters and small Bluetooth speakers, better suited to a hotel room than the gate area.

Skip anything you don’t urgently need, especially big‑ticket headphones that can run north of $100 with limited brand choices. Grab only what will actually save your flight: a power bank if you’re facing a 4‑hour hop, or a wall charger if your plane is on a 2‑hour delay and gate outlets are jammed.

Practical tip: do a quick price check on your phone before you tap your card; if the difference from Amazon or Target is under $10 and your boarding time is inside 30 minutes, just buy it and head for your gate in Terminal B.
