Terminal A’s Sbarro keeps it simple: slices, fast, and familiar
Sbarro in Terminal A sits airside past security, on the small food court stretch that serves the A-gates. It’s the textbook airport option when you want something hot and filling between TSA and boarding, and don’t feel like decoding a long menu. Expect the usual line bumps before the early bank of departures around 6:00–8:00 a.m. and again in the 4:00–7:00 p.m. window.
The menu leans on the standard Sbarro lineup: cheese and pepperoni slices under the warmer, occasional specialty pies like sausage or supreme, plus stromboli and baked pasta. Prices land in typical airport territory, roughly $6–$8 per slice and around $12–$15 if you add a drink and side. Portions run large enough that a two-slice combo feels like more food than the grab-and-go spots across Terminal A.
Quality is exactly what you expect from a national pizza counter in a small-terminal airport. Fresh pies come out in batches; if your slice looks like it has been sitting more than 20–30 minutes, ask if a new pizza is coming out and wait for that tray. You’ll usually get hotter cheese pull and a less dried-out crust compared with grabbing the front slice in the case.
Seating in Terminal A’s main food court is shared with neighboring outlets, so you’re dealing with the same cluster of tables used by passengers at Starbucks and other counters nearby. Power outlets around those tables are limited, and during peak times you may end up balancing a slice on your lap at the gate instead of securing a proper seat.
Practical tip: if your flight departs from the lower A1–A5 gates, grab your Sbarro order to go and walk down toward your gate before hunting for a spot; those gate areas are usually quieter than the central food court during the evening rush.
