Mountain Mikes Pizza

B

Terminal B flyers get a familiar option with Mountain Mike’s Pizza.

This outpost sits airside in Terminal B, so you’re fine staying past security if your flight leaves from a B-gate. It’s the same regional chain you see around Northern California, just trimmed down for airport flow. Slices come out of the warmer quickly, making it a realistic grab-and-go if boarding starts in 20–30 minutes.

Expect standard chain pricing: single slices usually land in the $6–$8 range, and whole pies push closer to typical airport “family meal” money. You’ll see the usual suspects from Mountain Mike’s core menu: pepperoni-heavy combos, simple cheese, and a couple of veggie-topped options. Portions track with the brand outside the airport, so one slice plus a drink often covers a short-haul hop down to LAX or up to PDX.

Service moves in line with other Terminal B quick spots, but lines can spike around the 6–8 a.m. bank and again before the late afternoon departures to DEN, SEA, and PHX. Morning hours are lighter on fresh pies, so if you fly out on a 7:00 a.m. departure, be ready for reheated slices rather than a pie just out of the oven. Later in the day, turnover improves as more families queue up before Southwest and United flights.

There isn’t a standout “only at SMF” specialty here, so just pick your usual Mountain Mike’s order. If you’re picky about crust texture, ask which pies just came out; anything that’s sat more than 20–30 minutes under heat lamps will taste tired. Drinks run to the standard fountain lineup, and combo pricing saves a couple of dollars versus ordering individually.

Tip: if your gate is at the far end of Terminal B, place your order, stay nearby, and leave yourself at least 10 minutes to walk back to a B20–B22 gate without rushing.
