Gate-side Greek snacks in Terminal 2

Just past security in Terminal 2, Hellenic Gourmet is the quick-stop shop for Greek products: olive oil tins, vacuum-packed cheeses, local wines, and boxed sweets you can throw straight into a carry-on. You’re still within a 3–5 minute walk of most T2 Schengen gates, so it works even on a tight boarding window.

Stock skews local: honey from northern Greece, ouzo and tsipouro from well-known labels, and gift boxes of kourabiedes and melomakarona priced in the €6–€15 range. There’s also the usual airport mix of packaged nuts, chocolates, and soft drinks for around €2–€4 if you just need something for the flight.

Hellenic Gourmet keeps standard daytime hours tied to departures, so on a typical schedule you’ll see it open from early morning bank departures around 06:00 through the late-evening waves after 22:00. If you land late on a quiet day in Terminal 2, don’t be shocked to find the shutters already down once the last Aegean and international flights clear.

Prices sit a notch above supermarkets in Thessaloniki city, but that’s normal for SKG Terminal 2; think roughly €3 more on a bottle of wine or €1–€2 extra on sweets. It’s still cheaper than buying Greek products at many non‑EU airports on arrival, especially for olive oil and spirits over 500 ml.

Quick tip: take 30 extra seconds to check the label dates, especially on nuts and cookies, and grab sealed tins or boxed items if you have a connection later in the day.
