Gregorys

2

Locals actually recognize Gregorys at SKG T2 from downtown branches

In Terminal 2 after security, Gregorys is the Greek coffee chain you see all over Thessaloniki, not another anonymous brand. Flyers on Greek forums call it their default stop for a freddo espresso before boarding. Prices run a bit higher than in the city but still under some of the non-Greek cafes in SKG, so your coffee and pastry usually land in the €4–€6 range.

Opening hours track the morning departure waves out of SKG T2, with lines forming from around 05:00 when the first flights push. Reviewers say service stays quick even when the queue looks 10–15 people deep, but that speed sometimes means custom milk or sugar tweaks get missed. If you care about “medium sugar, no foam” levels of detail, repeat it clearly when you pay.

Menu is classic Gregorys: freddo espresso, freddo cappuccino, Greek coffee, plus pies and sandwiches in the counter fridges. Regulars keep it simple with a freddo cappuccino and a spanakopita, which gives you caffeine and breakfast for roughly €5. The spanakopita and tyropita turn over fast during the 06:00–09:00 rush, so you’re usually getting a fresh tray instead of something that sat for hours.

Seating is the weak point: only a handful of seats directly near the outlet in T2, and those fill quickly during Schengen departures to places like ATH and SKG’s German routes. Locals suggest ordering first, then immediately scouting for any open chair or ledge in sight while you wait at the pickup counter. Treat Gregorys as grab-and-go; plan to walk to your gate with a paper cup and bag rather than lingering.

Tip: On a tight 30–40 minute window between security and boarding, stick to a freddo and a ready-made pie at Gregorys in Terminal 2; skip custom sandwich builds, which slow you down during the peak morning bank.
