Long-term parking

Official airport parking

Five-minute walk, $12/day, but only if you stay 5+ days

SJU’s official Long-term parking sits by the old Terminal E, charges $12 per day, and enforces a 5-day minimum stay$60 minimum charge, so it only makes sense for longer trips. The lot is airport-operated, so you pay on exit just like the main garages, but you trade shuttles and ramps for a simple outdoor setup and a short walk.

The entrance is the tricky part: regulars say the access road near Terminal E is poorly signposted and “incredibly hard to find,” even if you drive to SJU often. The lot only holds about 249 cars, so you’re turning into what feels like a side area, not a big garage complex. Build a few extra minutes into your arrival in case you miss the turn and have to loop back.

There is no shuttle from the long-term lot, and that catches a lot of first-timers who expect buses like at most U.S. airports. Plan on roughly a 5-minute walk to the main terminal complex, then head for Terminals A or B once you’re inside. With light luggage, the walk is fine; with big family suitcases or mobility issues, it can feel like a grind in the heat.

Regulars punch in the Google Maps pin for “Long Term Parking SJU” and follow that turn-by-turn instead of trusting airport signs along the main access road. Comments under the mini-tour video back this up and call out the lack of a shuttle as the main downside compared with standard U.S. long-term lots. Expect a bare-bones asphalt lot, not covered parking or frills.

Tip: Screenshot the Google Maps route to the Terminal E entrance and pack bags so one person can comfortably manage the 5-minute walk while the other wrangles kids or documents.
