Gate-side tech stop in Terminal B
Just past security in Terminal B, InMotion Entertainment fills a basic gap: last-minute electronics when your own gear fails. It sits airside, so you can walk over from any B-gate in a couple of minutes and still keep an eye on boarding times.
InMotion carries name-brand headphones and earbuds, phone chargers, battery packs, and travel adapters, all in a small footprint near the B concourse traffic. Prices usually run higher than Target or Amazon, but in line with other airport electronics shops, and you’re paying for not having to leave SJC to solve a dead-phone problem.
Expect all the usual suspects: Apple and Android lightning/USB-C cables, over-ear noise-cancelling models from big brands, Bluetooth speakers, and a wall of cases for current iPhone and Galaxy generations. They also stock basic accessories like screen protectors, SD cards, and some camera and GoPro gear, which is useful if you’re connecting through San Jose on a trip where you actually plan to take photos.
The store keeps typical Terminal B operating hours, opening early for morning departures and staying open through the late-evening bank of flights, so a 6 a.m. departure or 10 p.m. arrival should still find the gateside lights on. Staff can usually help confirm compatibility on cables and chargers before you tap your card.
Tip: Bring your phone or headphones into the shop and test the cable or adapter at the counter before you head back to your gate in B.
