Gate-side in Terminal A, Daly’s keeps things straightforward
Daly’s sits airside in Terminal A at SJC, a few minutes’ walk from the A10–A12 gate area, so it works for most Alaska and American departures here. It’s a basic airport bar-and-grill setup with a full bar and standard American mains, plus quick sandwiches if you’re clock-watching. Expect typical airport pricing: burgers and mains often land in the $15–$22 range, with beer and wine padded a few dollars over downtown San Jose.
The bar usually opens with the first wave of Terminal A flights, around early morning, and runs until the late-evening departures taper off after 9–10 p.m. That covers the common SJC bank of tech commuter flights. You’ll find draft beer, basic cocktails, and the usual breakfast staples in the morning, then burgers, salads, and fries once the lunch menu kicks in around 11 a.m. Seating is mostly high-tops and bar stools, so plan on using your carry-on as a footrest rather than expecting a lounge vibe.
No single dish gets called out by frequent flyers, but the safer bets tend to be bar food: fries, wings, and simple burgers that don’t require much kitchen finesse. If you’re tight on time before an A-side flight, Daly’s is quicker than trekking over to Terminal B’s restaurants through the connector. Service pace tracks how full the nearby A-gates are, so during peak evening bank you may be looking at 20–30 minutes for a sit-down order.
Tip: If you’ve got under 40 minutes before boarding at an A-gate, stick to drinks or a grab-and-go item from Daly’s instead of a full plated meal.
