Vino Volo

Gate-side wine bar in Terminal B

Right in SJC Terminal B, Vino Volo is the airport’s wine-focused spot when you have more than 20 minutes before boarding and want something better than fast food. It sits post-security along the main B concourse, so you’re fine even if you’re flying Southwest or Alaska out of nearby gates. Seating runs bar stools and small tables, and it’s usually calmer than the food court across from several B-gates.

Vino Volo runs on a wine-first menu: flights, glasses, and bottles, with pours often in the $12–$18 range per glass depending on region. Staff know their California labels, and you’ll usually see West Coast reds and sparkling options on the board. If you’re tight on time, stick to a single glass instead of a flight; flights can run you 20–30 minutes if you actually want to taste and sit.

Food is more snack and light-meal than full dinner. Expect cheese and charcuterie plates, small bites like crostini, and a few salads or panini, typically in the $12–$20 band. Portions lean “tapas” rather than “entrée,” so budget two plates if this is your main meal before a long-haul out of Terminal B. It’s all table service, so add 10–15 minutes to however long you think you’ll need.

Hours track the B concourse schedule, generally opening by the first mid-morning bank of flights and staying open into the late evening when the last Alaska and Southwest departures leave. If you’re on a 6:00 a.m. departure from Terminal B, this spot probably isn’t open yet; plan coffee elsewhere and save Vino Volo for an afternoon layover at SJC.

Tip: If you want a wine flight at Vino Volo before a B-gate departure, sit where you can see your gate’s display board; SJC’s PA volume varies, and it’s easy to miss a zone call over the bar noise.
