Gate B-area sit-down option when you’ve got 45 minutes
The Clubhouse sits airside in Terminal B, past security and along the main concourse, so you stay close to Southwest and Alaska gates while you eat. It runs on typical terminal hours tied to flight banks, opening for morning departures and staying open into the evening while B is still moving.
Menu style here is standard American grill: burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a couple of bigger entrées, generally in the $15–$22 range before tax and tip. You’ll see the usual airport markup on drinks, with beer and wine running higher than downtown San Jose but in line with other SJC spots. Portions lean decent enough that one main can carry you through a 2–3 hour hop to Denver or Seattle.
Service pace fits an airport: expect 10–15 minutes for a burger or salad when the mid-morning bank hits, faster in mid-afternoon once the 14:00–16:00 wave has passed. If you’re inside 30 minutes of boarding, ask your server up front and stick to items that cook quickly, like salads or cold sandwiches, instead of anything that sounds baked or slow-grilled.
The bar rail looks right onto Terminal B’s concourse, so you can nurse a drink and still keep an eye on gate screens for B8–B28 without running back and forth. Draft beer and house wine are the easy order; cocktails can run slower in peak hours and hit $15+ quickly. If you want just a snack, sides like fries or onion rings usually land under $10 and come out quicker than mains.
Practical tip: check your exact gate number before sitting; if you pull a late switch to Terminal A, you’ll want at least 10–12 minutes to walk from The Clubhouse to the far end of A’s concourse.
