Peet's Coffee

B

SSP America’s refresh in Terminal B now includes Peet’s Coffee.

This Peet’s sits airside in Terminal B, on the concourse used by Southwest and Alaska, replacing one of the older SJC concepts that disappeared in the recent SSP America overhaul. It’s the familiar Bay Area-born brand, so expect the standard Peet’s menu rather than a one-off airport café experiment.

You’ll get the usual espresso drinks, drip coffee, and cold brew at Peet’s pricing, which typically runs around $4–$7 for coffee drinks at airports similar to SJC. Food is the standard chain lineup: pastries, muffins, and grab-and-go items that work for a quick breakfast before a 7:00 a.m. departure out of Terminal B.

Because it’s in Terminal B, you’re set if you’re flying airlines like Southwest or Alaska; anyone coming from Terminal A would have to clear security again, which isn’t realistic for a stop just for coffee. Use this as your caffeine stop if your gate number starts with B and you don’t want to roll the dice on the smaller snack kiosks nearby.

Service and seating details at this specific SJC Peet’s aren’t widely documented yet, but based on similar SSP-run Peet’s locations, expect a basic counter setup with limited stools or shared seating in the common gate area. Plan on a short line around the 6:00–8:00 a.m. bank of departures and quicker service in the late morning after 10:00 a.m.

Practical tip: if you have an early flight from a B-gate, budget 5–10 extra minutes after clearing Terminal B security to grab a drip or cold brew here before you head down to the far B20–B28 gates.
