Shake Shack

Single ShackBurger runs about S$8 at Shake Shack SIN

This Shake Shack sits airside in Terminal 2 at Singapore Changi, handy if your flight goes from T2 or T3 with the Skytrain. Menu is basically the standard US lineup: ShackBurger, SmokeShack, crinkle-cut fries, shakes, and concretes. Expect to pay around S$8–S$9 for a single ShackBurger and just over S$5 for fries, so a burger, fries, and drink combo lands close to S$20.

Hours usually track terminal traffic, roughly 06:00 to 00:00, but overnight gaps happen on very late bank waves, so don’t bank on a 02:00 burger. Seating sits just off the main T2 concourse, so you’re eating a few minutes’ walk from nearby gates like E1–E8. It’s post-security, so this only works if you’re already checked in and through immigration.

Burgers come out made-to-order; allow 8–12 minutes between paying and that buzzer going off during normal flow, longer during evening banks after 18:00. The ShackBurger with single patty is the safe move; double patties push you up toward S$12 and can be heavy before a 12-hour SIN–LHR or SIN–SFO sector. Fries are the usual crinkle-cut; add cheese for a small upcharge if you want something more filling than a snack.

Shakes run around S$7–S$8 and are dense enough to count as dessert, which matters if you’re boarding an SQ long-haul with a full meal 90 minutes after takeoff. Soft drinks and bottled water price out higher than landside supermarket norms, so refill your bottle at one of the terminal fountains if you’re trying to keep a lid on spend. Service pace is efficient but not fast-food instant.

Tip: if your boarding pass shows a gate at the far end of T2, add a 10-minute walk buffer after you pick up your order so you’re not speed-walking with a shake in hand.
