Big Macs in Terminal 3 beat S$6 convenience-store snacks

McDonald’s in Changi Terminal 3 sits airside, so you need a boarding pass in hand before you can grab a S$2 coffee or a quick S$6–S$9 burger meal. It’s exactly what you expect from McDonald’s, just with local twists and airport pricing that’s still cheaper than many sit-down spots nearby. If you land hungry on a late-night arrival into T3, this is usually one of the few options still going.

Singapore outlets often run 24 hours, and Terminal 3 generally follows that pattern, so you can count on food at 02:00 when other concessions shutter around 22:00–23:00. Expect all the usual breakfast items in the morning rush before the 06:00–08:00 wave of departures, plus rotating local items that sometimes show up only in Singapore for a limited time.

Prices sit slightly above downtown outlets: a McSpicy or Filet-O-Fish set usually lands around S$8–S$10 with fries and drink, while a basic cheeseburger alone can still come in under S$3. That’s still cheaper than many Terminal 3 restaurants where mains can run S$18–S$25. Card payments and contactless (Visa, Mastercard, NETS, mobile wallets) all work smoothly, which helps if you’re short on Singapore dollars before a quick connection.

Lines spike right after big departures board from gates in the mid-teens and 20s in Terminal 3, especially around 30–40 minutes before boarding calls. Waits can hit 10–15 minutes at those times, then drop to under 5 minutes in the mid-morning and mid-afternoon lulls. Seating is shared with the general T3 food court area, so you might have to hover for a table if you’re traveling with a group of 3–4 people.

Tip: if your gate in Terminal 3 is under 10 minutes’ walk, grab your order first, then find a seat near your gate and eat there so you can board as soon as the first zones are called.
