Suites and First on SQ long‑haul only get into this room.
The Private Room sits inside the Singapore Airlines lounge complex in Terminal 3, past the First Class section, and staff double‑check that you hold a same‑day Suites or long‑haul First boarding pass. This is the quietest tier of the T3 lounges, so crowding is far less of an issue than in the main SilverKris Business and First areas nearby.
Access is airside in T3 after immigration, roughly a 5–10 minute walk from gates like A15–A20, and about the same to the central Skytrain to T1 and T2. If your flight leaves from the far C gates (C20‑C28), budget at least 15 minutes from the lounge door to boarding, including the extra security check at the gate.
Hours track Singapore Airlines’ long‑haul bank, opening early morning and running late into the night while departures to Europe, North Asia, Australia and the US are operating. Overnight gaps are shorter than in many airports, but if you land on a very late regional flight into T3 after the final long‑haul departure, the lounge may already be closed by the time you clear immigration and walk over.
This feels more like an airport restaurant than a typical buffet space: you sit down at proper tables, choose from an à la carte menu, and staff bring plated mains and desserts. Champagne is poured at the table, coffee comes from a barista counter, and the small buffet mostly carries basics like pastries, fruit and a few hot items for people in a rush.
Food skew leans toward higher‑end comfort: think lobster dishes, steak, eggs made to order, and Singapore staples like laksa rather than quick snack plates. Portions are restaurant‑size, not tapas‑style; two courses plus a drink can easily fill an hour, so this lounge makes more sense for layovers longer than 90 minutes.
Showers sit just outside in the main First / SilverKris complex, a short walk of a minute or two from the Private Room entrance. Suites and First passengers can request a shower slot at the front desk, and peak times usually line up with evening Europe departures around 22:00–23:30, when queues of three to five people are common.
Service is the real draw: staff remember drink orders on repeat visits, proactively top up water or Champagne, and are quick to adjust dishes if you mention dietary needs. Tipping is not expected in Singapore, so you can walk out after your meal with zero payment or paperwork; everything runs off your boarding pass scan.
Tip: eat your main meal here in T3, then leave for your gate about 30 minutes before boarding time at nearby A or B gates, or 45 minutes for C gates, so you use the quiet and table service without cutting it close at security.
