Most Singapore Airlines regulars walk to T3 instead of staying here
The SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 2 sits airside after security, serving business and first class passengers on Singapore Airlines flights from T2. It opens from early morning until the last SQ departure in the terminal, so you’re covered for the 06:00 bank right through to the midnight flights.
You’ll find the entrance near the main T2 Singapore Airlines gates, a few minutes’ walk from F and E pier departures. If your flight leaves from a T2 gate, count on a 5–10 minute stroll from the lounge to most boarding doors, less than half the walk you’d face if you came over from T3 SilverKris.
Food here trails the newer SilverKris complex in Terminal 3, and FlyerTalk threads from 2023 call out T3 as “much better” for both comfort and hot dishes. In T2 you usually see a smaller buffet with basic Asian and Western items, aligned with peak departure waves rather than an all-day gourmet spread.
Drinks run to standard house spirits, a couple of wines, and self-pour beer towers; don’t expect the champagne rotation you might get in T3. Coffee machines handle the basics; if you want a proper flat white, it’s often faster to grab one from a terminal café downstairs for around S$6–S$7.
Seating is mostly lounge chairs and small tables laid out in standard rows, fine for 1–2 hours before boarding. Power outlets sit between seats in several clusters, but some rows still lack sockets, so walk a lap and grab one of the side sections if you need to charge a laptop for a 13-hour sector.
Shower rooms exist but are fewer than in T3, so during the evening bank around 18:00–21:00 you may face a short wait. Regulars connecting off long-haul into T2 often hike over to the revamped SilverKris in T3 first for a shower and proper meal, then head back to T2 about 45 minutes before departure.
One practical play: if your layover is 2 hours or more and your boarding pass and timing allow, budget 20–25 minutes total to walk to T3 SilverKris and back, eat and shower there, then use this T2 lounge only as a quiet-ish holding pen close to your actual gate.
