SilverKris Business Lounge

3

Seat-hunting starts by 7pm here, even after the renovation

The SilverKris Business Lounge in Terminal 3 sits airside near the E gates and handles Singapore Airlines business-class traffic for multiple departures an hour, so crowding is the main story. Access is for SQ and Star Alliance business passengers and eligible PPS/KrisFlyer elites departing T3, all funneling into the same rebuilt space that still feels tight at peak evening banks.

Opening hours track the SQ schedule and effectively run from early morning to past midnight, covering the first regional departures around 6:00 and the last long-haul waves after 23:00. That long span means breakfast, lunch, and dinner rushes all hit the lounge, with the post-21:00 Europe and Australia bank often mentioned as the most packed period.

Food is the main reason regulars still stop here: the buffet line usually has at least one noodle or laksa station, chicken rice, and a rotation of hot curries alongside dim sum and basic Western dishes. The lounge also offers a small à-la-carte menu in the dining area during core meal windows, something you will not find in the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge across the hall in the same T3 pier.

Drinks are decent for a business lounge, with self-pour spirits on the counter, at least one drinkable Champagne or sparkling wine in the ice bucket, and a mix of Australian and European reds and whites. There is also a staffed bar where you can get simple cocktails made to order, including gin and tonic and basic whisky highballs, which some FlyerTalk regulars call out as their only reason to stay here longer than 20 minutes.

Showers sit along a corridor near the back of the lounge, with individual rooms, rainfall heads, and standard amenities like toothbrush kits and shaving sets already stocked. At busy times before overnight flights, staff sometimes operate a manual queue, so factor 15–25 minutes if you want a pre-flight shower before a 23:30 or later departure out of Terminal 3.

Power outlets are mostly universal sockets built into table edges and along shared work counters, but not every armchair has one. Wi‑Fi runs off the airport’s network with speeds often above 50 Mbps, good enough to download a Netflix episode before boarding A380 flights to London or SQ26 to New York via Frankfurt from the nearby gates.

Watch out for the crowd level compared with the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge just across the corridor in T3, which several frequent flyers describe as noticeably calmer and more spacious. A common play is 20–30 minutes in SilverKris for a hot meal and a drink, then moving to KrisFlyer Gold for quieter work time and easier seat availability before boarding from the E or F gates.

Practical tip: during the evening long-haul bank, walk the full length of the lounge past the main buffet; the deep back section near the quieter work pods almost always has a spare seat, even when the front dining area looks completely full.
