The Hut

The Hut barely exists online, but it does exist airside at SHJ.

Sharjah only has T1 for passenger traffic, and The Hut sits somewhere in that post-security mix, but official maps don’t pin a gate number or corner for it. That alone makes it odd at an airport where most outlets show up on concession lists and signage. If you like ticking off every food option in T1, put The Hut on the “ask an agent at the info desk” list.

Hours aren’t published anywhere, which at Sharjah usually means “aligned with peak bank times” rather than true 24/7 like some cafés near the main T1 immigration hall. If you’re on late-night Air Arabia waves between 23:00 and 03:00, don’t assume The Hut is open the way the big chains are. Plan on a backup like the food court cluster near the central departures seating if you strike out.

Price tier is also opaque, but T1 food outlets generally hit mid-range for the UAE: think AED 25–35 for a coffee and pastry and AED 35–55 for a basic hot meal. Until someone posts a receipt, that’s the safest bracket to budget for The Hut. If you’re stretching dirhams before a low-cost flight, treat anything branded beyond the basic cafés as “airside markup” and order accordingly.

With no traveller reviews on Google, Zomato, or the usual forums, there’s zero outside intel on menu, service speed, or power outlets at The Hut. That puts it behind better-documented spots near T1’s main duty free zone, where you at least know you can sit within view of the FIDS screens. First-timers at SHJ are still better off eating at a clearly signed place near their gate, then using The Hut as a secondary option if it happens to sit on their walking path.

Tip: when you clear security into T1, snap a photo of the terminal map and ask staff to circle The Hut; don’t burn time wandering for a restaurant that sometimes feels more rumour than destination.
