Long Term Car Park at Sharjah T1 is the on-airport choice when your trip runs past a single day and you don’t want to gamble on Al Sajaa street parking. The pricing flips after the early hours: you pay AED 16 for 1 hour, AED 27 for 2 hours, AED 37 for 3 hours, and AED 48 for 4 hours, then from 4:01 hours up to 24 hours the charge jumps to a flat AED 95. Every extra 24-hour block is also AED 95, so a 7-day park comes out around AED 665 instead of the AED 1,400 you’d see in short term.

This is open-air long-stay parking, used by people heading out for 3–10 days from T1. Compared with Short Term, where the second day climbs to roughly AED 200, Long Term stays locked at AED 95 per 24 hours, which is why locals point first-timers here once they hear “more than a day.” Still, budget travellers on Reddit and Facebook point out that two or three weeks on-site quickly runs into four-figure dirham territory, pushing them to off-airport industrial zones when trips hit 14–21 days.

There are two painful fees to know before you pull a ticket: a AED 2,000 charge if your stay exceeds 30 days and a AED 200 fee for a lost ticket. Both match the short-term lots and have caught out people whose return flights changed or who came back to find a crumpled ticket missing after 10–15 days away. Cars sit in full sun, and reviewers coming back from July and August trips talk about ovens on wheels and steering wheels too hot to touch for the first 5–10 minutes.

Regulars tend to commit early: if there’s any chance you’ll cross the 24-hour mark, they drive straight to Long Term instead of Short Term to avoid the AED 200 second-day hit. Ultra-frugal residents sometimes skip the airport entirely, leave the car in Al Sajaa Industrial Area, and spend around 10 minutes in a cab or bus to SHJ. One practical tip: photograph your ticket and row marker when you park, so you’re covered if the paper goes missing and you’re stumbling around at 03:00 after a red-eye into T1.
