No.77 Lounge

T2

No.77 never shows up in SHA trip reports, but it’s real

Priority Pass lists No.77 Lounge in Shanghai Hongqiao’s Terminal 2, but frequent-flyer forums barely mention it, which tells you it runs as a basic contract lounge, not a destination. It sits airside in T2, after security, serving domestic passengers on multiple airlines rather than one carrier’s elites.

Doors normally track Terminal 2’s busy bank of departures from early morning to late evening, roughly 06:00 to 22:00, in line with most contract lounges at SHA. Access runs on Priority Pass and likely other bank and lounge cards sold in mainland China, so mid-day peaks can get dense when several flights out of T2 board within 45–60 minutes of each other.

Food in lounges like No.77 around SHA T2 typically means Chinese hot trays, basic carbs and some packaged snacks, not a made‑to‑order menu. Think rice, stir‑fried noodles, one meat dish, maybe a soup, plus biscuits and instant noodles, with fridges holding bottled soft drinks and canned beer, usually all self‑serve. Expect local brands more than imported labels at this price point.

Wi‑Fi in Hongqiao T2 requires SMS or ID registration, and the lounge almost certainly rides the same airport network, so have a Chinese SIM or be ready to use a passport-based login at a terminal. Power outlets in contract lounges at SHA often sit along the walls instead of every seat, so plan on a cable of at least 1.5–2 meters if you want to charge and sit comfortably.

Seating in numbered contract lounges at SHA generally follows the same formula: rows of armchairs and some two‑top tables, aligned with windows if the space touches the apron. During the 17:00–20:00 domestic rush in T2, you may be circling for a seat; outside those hours it’s usually easier to find a quiet corner than in the public gates.

The practical play: if you already carry Priority Pass and you’re stuck in Terminal 2 for more than 60 minutes, use No.77 for a seat, power, and snacks; for a quick 20‑minute turn, the regular T2 concourse seating and shops will probably do the job just as well.
