China Southern Lounge

T2

T2’s China Southern Lounge is the default if you’re on CZ business

This lounge sits airside in Terminal 2 and serves China Southern business and first passengers on domestic flights. Most paid business tickets in T2 get you into some lounge, and this is China Southern’s own option rather than a shared contract space. Think of it as a basic place to sit, snack, and charge devices before boarding at nearby domestic gates.

China Southern’s banks of departures in T2 tend to cluster in the mid-morning and early evening, so expect the lounge to feel busiest around the 08:00–10:00 and 17:00–19:00 waves. Seating is mostly standard armchairs and small tables, laid out in long rows facing the interior of the terminal. Power outlets are scattered along the walls rather than at every seat, so if you see a free spot next to a socket, grab it immediately.

Food is typical domestic-China lounge fare: expect a couple of hot trays with items like fried rice or noodles, plus packaged snacks and fruit. Coffee comes from a push-button machine rather than a barista, and soft drinks sit in small fridges near the buffet. You’re not coming here for a memorable meal, but it is enough for a quick bite before a two-hour hop to cities like Guangzhou or Shenzhen.

Alcohol in domestic lounges at Hongqiao is often limited, and this space follows that pattern, with beer more likely than spirits or wine. If a drink matters, buy something in T2’s public concourse shops before heading in. The lounge Wi‑Fi rides on the airport’s network, which requires the usual SMS or passport registration, and speeds vary depending on how many people are connected at once.

There’s no spa, nap room, or dedicated business center; at best you’ll find a few higher tables you can use as a laptop perch. Restrooms are usually inside or directly adjacent to the lounge, which saves a few minutes versus walking back to the main T2 facilities. Most guests spend 30–60 minutes here, just long enough to charge up and grab a plate before boarding starts.

Practical tip: if you have over 90 minutes before your China Southern flight from T2, sort out any ticket changes or seat moves at the main check-in counters first; lounge staff here have limited ability to fix complex booking issues.
