Terminal 1’s Alaska Lounge runs daily from 5:00 am to midnight
This Alaska Lounge sits airside in Terminal 1 at SFO, mainly serving Alaska, Hawaiian, and STARLUX passengers and flying under the radar compared with the bigger clubs in the airport. It’s a straightforward domestic lounge: decent seating, basic food, and a quieter space than the main Terminal 1 concourse during peak Alaska departures.
Hours run Sunday through Saturday, 5:00 am to 12:00 am, so early SEA or PDX departures and late-night Hawaii returns are covered. Morning spreads usually mean continental basics rather than hot cooked-to-order plates, and in the evening you’re looking at snack-style options that are still better than the food court downstairs in Terminal 1.
Access ties to Alaska Lounge memberships, day passes when available, premium cabin or elite access on Alaska, plus partner arrangements for Hawaiian and STARLUX in Terminal 1. If you’re flying out of Terminal 2, Terminal 3, or International, you’d need to re-clear security to reach this lounge, which can easily eat 30–40 minutes in SFO lines at busy times.
Pricing on food and drinks outside is high in SFO, so the value calculation here is simple: if you already have included access, dropping in for an hour before a 7:00 am or 9:00 pm Alaska departure from Terminal 1 usually beats spending $20+ in the concourse. Paying out of pocket only makes sense if you’re planning to sit for at least 60–90 minutes.
There’s the expected bar setup with house beer, wine, and well spirits included; anything premium usually costs extra, roughly in line with Terminal 1 bar prices. You’ll also find self-serve soft drinks and coffee machines, which matter for those 5:30 am flights to SEA from nearby Terminal 1 gates.
One limitation: this is not on the scale of a flagship club like Polaris in International Terminal G or the big American clubs in Terminal 2 and 3, so don’t show up three hours early expecting multiple hot dishes or shower suites. Think quieter chairs, outlets, Wi‑Fi, and a snack buffer before boarding from Terminal 1.
Practical tip: if you’re already in Terminal 1 for an Alaska, Hawaiian, or STARLUX flight and have access in your ticket or status, head up to the Alaska Lounge as soon as you clear security, then walk down to your gate about 20 minutes before boarding time.
