International Terminal A, near gate A1, with long daily hours
This is Air India and LOT’s shared premium lounge in SFO’s International Terminal, tucked just past gate A1 and open daily from 6:00 a.m. until 11:55 p.m. It’s mainly a contract space for Air India and partner premium cabins, so you won’t see the same volume of online reviews you find for the oneworld lounges across the hall.
Access is straightforward: Air India and LOT Polish Airlines premium passengers and qualifying elites are checked in at the desk, with staff cross‑checking your boarding pass and flight number before you head inside. No Priority Pass, no day passes for sale, and no access if you’re flying out of Terminals 1, 2, or 3 without clearing back into the International side.
Layout is typical single-room contract lounge format, with seating clustered around a few TV zones and windows facing the A‑gates toward A1–A9. Power outlets run along some wall seats and under a handful of armchairs, so if you need to charge a laptop and phone, grab those spots first instead of the center rows.
Food is a simple buffet setup matching early‑morning departures and late‑night bank timings: think continental basics at 6:00 a.m. and hot trays rotated closer to evening Air India and LOT departures. Expect self‑serve rather than made‑to‑order; pricing isn’t listed anywhere inside because everything is included once you’re in.
Drinks come from a small counter opposite the food line, with coffee machines, soft drinks in fridges, and a limited self‑pour alcohol spread that usually tracks to the late‑night departures to Europe and India. If you care about specific labels or cocktails, you’re better off grabbing something at one of the International Terminal bars before heading here.
Showers may not always be available or staffed late in the evening bank, so if you land from a long‑haul and connect out on Air India from gate A1 or nearby, ask at the desk as soon as you enter rather than after you’ve settled in.
Practical tip: Build a 10–15 minute buffer to walk from the main International security checkpoint to gate A1; don’t cut it close, since this lounge only serves Air India and LOT flights and agents here work to those departure times.
