Gate-side stop in Terminal A when you forgot something
Fort Mellon Express sits airside in Terminal A at Orlando Sanford (SFB), opening about 2 hours before the first boarding call of the day. It runs until the last departures clear out, so early Allegiant runs and late flights are covered. You’re past security here, so this is a last-chance grab before you hit the A-gates.
This is a small, multipurpose shop: accessories and gifts, electronics, books and magazines, plus the usual snacks and drinks. Expect standard airport pricing, with bottled drinks a couple of dollars higher than off-airport and paperback books sitting in the $12–$20 range. Think phone chargers, neck pillows, souvenir mugs, and a few Florida-themed trinkets, not luxury brands.
On the food side, you’ll find packaged snacks, chips, candy bars, and refrigerated drinks rather than fresh meals. It works for a quick soda and a bag of pretzels before a 2–3 hour flight, but don’t count on it for anything resembling a proper lunch. If you want real food at SFB, you’re better off hitting one of the bar-and-grill spots in Terminal A before you wander down to your gate.
Selection leans toward last-minute needs: basic phone cables, headphones, travel-sized toiletries, and a rack or two of magazines and puzzle books. If you need a specific cable type (USB-C or Lightning) or a particular brand of headphones, buy at home; here you’re paying for convenience and the fact you’re already at the gate.
Tip: Stop at Fort Mellon Express before you sit down at your A-gate; announcements can move boarding up by 10–15 minutes at SFB, and you don’t want to be in line here when your group is called.
