Long Term Lot A

Long stay

Daily rate sits at $15 in Long Term Lot A

If you’re watching costs but still want official on-airport parking at SFB, Long Term Lot A hits that balance at $15 per day. It’s a proper long-stay lot with a paved surface, so you’re not leaving the car in overflow grass unless the whole airport is slammed and gets pushed to backup options.

The lot sits next to the terminal complex, on-airport, with a marked pedestrian walkway and crosswalk if you want to walk instead of waiting. Figure a short walk to Terminal A or B, but the airport still runs a shuttle loop so you don’t have to drag bags along the curb if you’d rather ride.

Pricing runs on a meter before you hit the daily cap: it’s $2 every 20 minutes up to the $15 daily maximum, then the clock restarts every 24 hours. That structure helps if your pickup runs late by 30–40 minutes; you’re adding a few dollars, not a full extra day, as long as you don’t cross the 24‑hour mark.

The airport’s own guidance says the free shuttle to and from Long Term Lot A runs in a loop and you should allow at least 15 minutes for pickup. Count on the same 15 minutes from car to terminal if you time it right; miss one bus and you’ve just added another 15 minutes to your departure buffer.

Holiday travel notes going back several years mention overflow grass lots kicking in when the paved long-term areas, including Lot A, fill up. If you’re flying around Thanksgiving or Christmas, plan to arrive at least 30–45 minutes earlier than you normally would in case you’re pushed farther out.

Pro tip: on departure day, snap a photo of the nearest Lot A row marker and shuttle stop sign so you’re not roaming the long-term lanes with luggage at midnight trying to remember where you parked.
