Official Off-Site Shuttles

500 SCR for 10 minutes to Eden Island tells the story

At Seychelles International (SEZ), “Official Off-Site Shuttles” basically means you’re using hotel vans, private drivers, or taxis instead of a North American–style park-and-ride lot 1 mile from the terminal. Travellers talk about 10-minute rides to Eden Island running around 500 SCR (roughly 30 USD), and 50 EUR quotes to Beau Vallon, not about fenced parking plus free shuttles.

There isn’t a dedicated off-airport car park feeding shuttles to the International or Domestic terminals. Regulars either rent at SEZ for about 45–60 EUR per day and return the car to the airport, or line up private transfers on WhatsApp with named drivers like “Kenneth” who handle both pickup and return trips. Nobody reports leaving a car off-site and hopping a branded van.

Hotel pickups effectively act as the shuttle layer here. Many Mahe guesthouses and resorts will quote a fixed airport transfer price in SCR or EUR and send a van or car to SEZ at a set time that matches your flight’s scheduled arrival or departure. That replaces the need to pay 800 SCR or more per direction from the airport taxi rank to spots like Port Launay.

Watch out for: airport taxis. Multiple visitors call them “overpriced,” with 500 SCR for short hops and 50 EUR for mid-length runs being normal, not scam numbers. Drivers rarely mention any cheaper shared shuttle or parking-plus-transfer deal, so if you just walk out to the rank, you’re paying full airport premium on every ride.

Practical tip: message your hotel or a recommended driver 24–48 hours before landing at SEZ, agree a fixed SCR or EUR fare for both airport runs, and skip hunting for any off-site parking shuttle that, in practice, doesn’t exist here.
