Gate B7, A1, and basically every concourse: Starbucks as landmark
At SEA’s main terminal, people say “meet at the Starbucks by B7” more than they say “gate B7.” The Port of Seattle lists Starbucks in several concourses post-security, so you’ll spot them near A1, B-gates, and across the central terminal. It’s the same national menu, just with SEA pricing: expect a tall drip around a couple bucks higher than in-town and specialty drinks landing in the $5–$7 range.
Morning banks from 5:30–8:30am are the pain point. Flyers on Reddit call the A1 Starbucks line “insane at 6am,” sometimes stretching deep into the concourse. The closer a location is to security, the worse the queue. Regulars walk 3–5 gates down to the next Starbucks or another coffee stand; it can save 10–15 minutes.
Menu is exactly what you know: lattes, cold brew, refreshers, plus breakfast sandwiches and protein boxes at airport markup. A basic bacon, gouda & egg sandwich runs in the high single digits, and pastry prices float around $4–$5. One Google reviewer notes the tradeoff clearly: same taste, higher bill, but no surprises when you’re pre‑coffee and half awake before a 7:10am departure.
Watch out for tech glitches. Several reviewers complain that mobile orders don’t always fire correctly at SEA, especially when terminal Wi‑Fi drops. If you’re 20 minutes from boarding at C9 or N11, assume you’re standing in a physical line, not grabbing and going. Staff usually moves quickly, but volume during peak hours still backs things up.
Tip: If the Starbucks just past main security has more than 15 people in line, keep walking 2–3 minutes toward your gate; hit the next location instead and you’ll usually board with coffee in hand and a few dollars left from that $10 bill.
