Gate A9 sits just outside the United Club at SEA.
The United Club sits on Concourse A in the Main Terminal, a few minutes’ walk from gates A5–A10, so it mainly serves United departures and Star Alliance connections. Check-in happens at the podium right off the concourse, and you head up one level to the lounge itself. If your flight leaves from B or C, give yourself at least 10–15 minutes to walk back.
United runs the SEA United Club roughly in line with banked United schedules, usually opening before the first morning departure out of A-concourse and closing after the last evening flight. Hours do shift with the timetable, so check the app on the day you fly. Early-morning flyers around the 6:00–7:00 a.m. wave get the quietest room and the freshest breakfast trays.
Access follows standard United Club rules: United Club members, eligible Star Alliance premium-cabin travelers, and day-pass holders tied to a same-day United or Star Alliance boarding pass on Concourse A or elsewhere in the Main Terminal. If you hold a one-time pass from a Chase United credit card, you can use it here as long as you’re flying United that day out of SEA.
Day passes typically price around the standard United Club rate (check current pricing in the United app before you commit). That cost makes more sense on a 2–3 hour layover than on a short hop to SFO or DEN. If your connection at SEA is under 60 minutes from gate arrival to boarding, skip the pass and head straight to your A-gate instead.
Food skews light: think basics like snack mix, small cold items, and simple breakfast and evening options rather than a full hot buffet. Soft drinks, coffee, and standard house beer and wine pour at no extra charge, with premium spirits and better wine usually costing a few extra dollars per drink. If you want a full meal, Concourse A restaurants like the spots near A4 and A12 do the heavy lifting instead.
Wi‑Fi runs on United’s standard “United Club” network and generally holds up for email and streaming a show before your flight. Power outlets sit along walls and under some seating clusters; pick a chair near the windows facing A7–A9 if you want both views of United’s 737s and a guaranteed plug. Restrooms sit inside the lounge, so you won’t have to re-scan your boarding pass at the front desk.
Tip: if you’re landing into the N or S gates on the train, budget at least 15 minutes to ride to the Main Terminal, walk to Concourse A, and reach the United Club before deciding to buy a day pass.
