Ground floor of Terminal 1 before security, Caffe & Bar PRONTO runs daily from 06:30 to 21:30 with last orders at 21:00. That timing covers the first departures out of Sendai and most nighttime arrivals, so it works for both a pre-flight coffee and a post-flight drink before you head into town.
The menu leans Western: pastas, sandwiches, and cafe sweets, with prices sitting in the $$ range for Japan. Expect espresso drinks a little above convenience store prices, but below hotel lobby levels. Beer, wine, and basic bar options show up later in the day, so you can turn the same table from laptop spot to quick aperitif.
If you eat here once, make it the shrimp and avocado with basil sauce. That plate is the signature, shows up on promo material, and hits the Western brief better than the more generic pastas. Portions are reasonable for a light meal; if you need something heavier before a long flight out of Terminal 1 or 2, pair it with a dessert from the sweets case or an extra side.

Just keep an eye on the clock: leaving here at T-45 from Terminal 1 still gives a comfortable buffer through security, but heading to Terminal 2 for a domestic hop, add at least another 10–15 minutes to walk and queue.
One practical tip: order and pay at the counter as soon as you spot an open seat; during morning waves around 08:00–09:00 and early evening at 18:00, the line moves slower than the kitchen, and getting in the queue first keeps your stop here under 30 minutes.
