The Kentucky Shop

Near the Main Terminal security exit, The Kentucky Shop hits all the bourbon-and-Bluegrass clichés in one stop. You’ll see it right after you clear the checkpoint, before the A/B fork. It’s a small footprint, so you can scan the shelves in 5–10 minutes on a short connection.

Shelves lean heavily into Kentucky brands: bourbon logo gear, horse racing souvenirs, and Louisville Muhammad Ali International (SDF) merch. Expect T-shirts and caps in the $20–$40 range, plus keychains, mugs, and magnets under $15. Stock rotates a bit around Derby season, but the core Kentucky-themed items stay the same year-round.

Food and drink skew to giftable items rather than full snacks. You’ll find boxed bourbon chocolates, regional candy, and local sauces typically in the $8–$25 range. Actual bourbon is limited and often priced higher than downtown Louisville shops, so this is more of a last-minute pickup spot than a value play.

Figure quick, airport-style hours that usually track Main Terminal flight banks: early morning opening before the first departures and closing around the last evening banks. If you’re landing late on a 10–11 p.m. arrival, don’t count on it being open. Staff are used to people racing in before boarding starts, so transactions move fast.

Tip: If you want something small and uniquely “Kentucky” under $10, head straight to the candy and snack shelves instead of losing time in the apparel racks.
