Gate-side in T2, Ruby Tuesday is your standard sit-down chain option
Right in Terminal T2 at SCL, Ruby Tuesday is one of the few full-service restaurants past security, with a solid 4.1 rating from travelers. It feels like the same US mall-restaurant DNA, just transplanted to Santiago’s international terminal, which makes it easy to decode the menu quickly between flights.
Most mains land in the mid-price range for an airport: think burgers around typical chain pricing, salads a bit less, and larger plates edging up. Portions run big enough that one main can carry you through a long-haul out of T2, especially on overnight flights where airline catering may be hit or miss.
Menu-wise, expect Ruby Tuesday standards: grilled chicken, ribs, burgers with add-ons like bacon and cheese, and the usual sides line-up. If you want something lighter before a 10–12 hour flight, default to salads or grilled proteins and skip the heavier fried starters, which reviewers say can feel like too much before boarding.
The pace here leans slower than fast food in T2, so budget at least 45–60 minutes from sit-down to paid bill if your gate is close, and more if you still need to walk to the far end of the terminal. Service timing matters a lot on banked departure waves, especially around evening long-hauls between 18:00 and 22:00.
Noise levels track with the rest of T2’s international departures, so you can usually hear boarding announcements for nearby gates, but don’t rely on that if you’re flying from the higher-numbered gates at the opposite side of the pier. Set an alarm for 45 minutes before departure, pay the check early, and walk to the gate with time to spare.
