The Pop Stop

Gate-side treats near Main Terminal security

The Pop Stop sits in South Bend’s Main Terminal concourse, past security, and leans hard into one thing: popcorn and candy to-go. It’s a small stand, so think grab-and-go rather than a long browse, but it’s one of the few spots airside where you can pick up something more fun than a standard granola bar.

Expect bags of flavored popcorn, packaged sweets, and bottled drinks priced at typical small-airport levels, not downtown South Bend prices. Figure a snack and drink combo will land in the $8–$12 range. It works as a last-minute gate snack or a quick gift you can toss into a carry-on without worrying about TSA liquid limits.

The Pop Stop usually operates during the main departure banks for SBN’s flights, roughly early morning through late afternoon, so don’t count on it for a midnight snack after a delayed arrival. Since the Main Terminal isn’t huge, you’re rarely more than a 5-minute walk from the stand, even from the farthest gate.

There’s no hot food, seating, or bar service here, just packaged items and refrigerated drinks. If you want a real meal, hit a restaurant pre-flight and treat The Pop Stop as your dessert or backup plan. Tip: buy your drink here after security instead of in the landside vending machines to avoid carrying bottles through the checkpoint.
