Low-Cost Parking

Long stay

$5 a day gets you the only real lot at SBD

Low-Cost Parking at San Bernardino International Airport is the on-airport surface lot sitting directly in front of the terminal. It’s a flat $5 per day, so locals treat it as the default option instead of driving to ONT or paying LAX prices. The lot is next to the terminal, so there’s no shuttle loop and no hunting for a remote structure.

The walk from your car to check-in in Terminal D or I usually runs under 3–5 minutes, even from the back of the lot. That short walk is why regulars say SBD feels like “the old days” where you just park and walk in. It functions as both short- and long-stay parking; there’s no separate long-term garage or economy field.

Rates are simple: $5 per 24 hours for long stay, with the same lot serving quick drop-offs or a week-long trip. You can pay on-site or prepay online through the airport, which some flyers use as a basic reservation during peak holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas. Compared with ONT’s long-term prices, the math favors driving straight to SBD if it fits your route.

Watch out for the Inland Empire heat. The Low-Cost Parking lot is fully open-air with no covered or shaded spaces, so cars left for several days in July or August can be brutal inside when you land. A few night flights mention the lot feeling pretty empty and industrial after dark, though online threads don’t list specific theft incidents.

Regulars often roll in about 60–70 minutes before a Breeze departure because they trust the quick park-and-walk setup. For early-morning or holiday flights, prepay your parking online, screenshot the confirmation, and skip one more thing to think about at 5 a.m.
