Between Gates 3 and 5, this is SAV’s pizza stop
Torn Basil Pizzeria sits in the Main terminal between Gates 3 and 5, right in the small food cluster by the early-numbered gates. It’s past security, so this works for a quick bite before regional flights that board from Gates 1–6. Expect basic airport counter service and a short line that moves faster outside of the 6–8 a.m. and 4–6 p.m. rush windows.
Menu is standard: whole pies, slices, and a few sides, with most individual items landing in the $8–$15 range. You’ll see cheese and pepperoni slices under the heat lamps, plus a rotating “special” pie that sometimes runs closer to $18–$20 for a whole pizza. Portions skew large by airport standards, so one slice and a drink is usually enough before a short hop out of SAV.
Quality is middle-of-the-road: fine if you’re at Gates 3 or 5 and hungry, not worth a long walk from ticketing or baggage downstairs. Crust leans soft, and pies can sit a bit if traffic is light, which shows up most on mid-day flights around 1–3 p.m. If you’re picky, ask when the last pie came out and wait for the next pan.
There’s limited seating nearby, with a handful of tables in sight of the Torn Basil counter and a few more scattered toward Gate 5. Power outlets are sparse in this stretch of the Main terminal, so charge up elsewhere if you need to work while you eat. Best move: grab a slice and drink here, then walk closer to your exact gate before boarding starts.
