Souvenir Shop

Two minutes of walking covers every souvenir shop at SAP

Souvenir Shop sits airside at Ramón Villeda Morales (SAP), in the small post‑security stretch that also holds duty free. Think basic Honduras mugs, magnets, shot glasses, and logo t‑shirts rather than a big artisan market. Prices run tourist‑standard: expect around US$5–10 for keychains and magnets, and US$15–25 for shirts or caps. Stock repeats between shops, so if you’ve seen one, you’ve basically seen them all.

Most regulars say they buy coffee, chocolate, and handicrafts in San Pedro Sula city and only hit the airport shops for last‑minute gifts before a CM or AA departure. The shelves lean heavily on Honduras‑branded trinkets plus pre‑packed coffee and candy, with very little in the way of unique textiles or ceramics. Compared with Tegucigalpa or Roatán, people report feeling “done” with SAP’s souvenir options in under 10 minutes.

Watch out for the generic quality and airport markup: the same Lempira‑printed mugs that cost around 150 HNL in town can sit at 250–300 HNL here. Selection also shrinks on late evening flights after 20:00, when some units partially close or stop restocking. If you care about variety or handmade pieces, do your main shopping in San Pedro Sula and treat Souvenir Shop as backup.

Tip: walk the full airside concourse first, compare prices between the 2–3 souvenir spots, then buy on your way to the gate so you’re not carrying bags during boarding checks.
