Next to Gate 37 in T2, this is your main coffee stop

This Starbucks sits airside in Terminal 2 by Gate 37, so it works well if you’re on Alaska, Delta, or other T2 carriers and don’t want to backtrack. It’s standard Starbucks branding and menu, nothing airport-specific or experimental here.

Hours at SAN shift with flight banks, but expect this Terminal 2 Starbucks to open for early departures around 4:30–5:00 a.m. and run through the evening. If you’ve got a 6:00 a.m. boarding time at Gate 37, build at least 10 extra minutes for the line.

Pricing runs higher than street locations: a grande latte usually lands around $6–7, and breakfast sandwiches sit in the $5–7 range. Mobile ordering in the Starbucks app sometimes shows as unavailable at SAN, so don’t count on skipping the queue with your phone.

Menu is the usual airport-approved set: drip coffee, cold brew, espresso drinks, Refreshers, and a pastry case with cake pops, croissants, and bagels. If you need something you can eat at the gate in under 10 minutes, the bacon gouda sandwich or spinach feta wrap are the safest bets.

Watch out for pre-boarding rush at nearby Gate 37 and neighbors; once a widebody or bank of departures hits, the line can double in under five minutes. If you’re already past security in Terminal 2, grab your coffee here before walking down to farther gates.

Tip: Check your boarding group and head to Starbucks as soon as your gate number posts; don’t wait until “now boarding Group 2” echoes through the Terminal 2 speakers.
